Current Available Work Hours

Every year we are faced with members who claim that work hours were not made available to them. For this reason, we will be posting assignments as they become available throughout the year to ensure that all members are aware of these opportunities.

Please contact me for further information regarding any of the listed positions, or to discuss duties in further detail. Assignments will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

ROAD AND RANGE MONITORS
This program was a huge hit with the general membership, match directors, as well as our neighbors. Because of this, we will be continuing to monitor the roads and ranges for many of our 2014 matches. I would like to add that virtually 100% of the members that participated in this program commented that it was a quite enjoyable way to get in their work hours. I urge you to please consider signing up so we can keep this program running.

ATTENTION CLAYS SAFETY OFFICERS
Due to difficulties getting in touch with several key holders, we have made the decision to change the locks on the clays fields once again this year. We feel it is the only way to ensure that the fields remain secure and in good condition.

We will be at the clubhouse on February 28th, March 1st, and March 2nd from 6:00 a 8:00pm to hand out the new keys. If you are planning to continue to be a Clays Safety Officer you must attend one of these dates to pick your new key up.

GUN SHOWS 2014
The new year has brought with it another opportunity to get a portion of your work hours by attending the table at an upcoming show. As always, we will initially be reserving these positions for our elderly/physically disabled members, however, if there is a lack of response we will offer these positions to all members in good standing. Members are expected to interact with the public, be able to answer questions, and promote the club in a positive manner. If you are simply looking to get a free pass into the show and a place to put your coffee while walking around browsing, then this assignment IS NOT for you. We expect complete participation from those who sign up for these positions.

Please note, we are initially limiting shows to one per person, to allow as many people as possible to work this popular venue.

CLUBHOUSE CLEANING
We are looking for members who would like to get there work hours by cleaning the clubhouse on a monthly basis. This assignment can be done at your convenience, which makes it ideal for someone who has difficulty committing to scheduled work hours. Although this does not seem like a very rewarding job, I can assure you that the people who use the clubhouse for training, matches, board meetings, etc., truly appreciate the effort that is put into it.

New Work Hours Opportunity

Ladies and gentleman,

The new skeet shack is close to completion and we are looking for a few members to put on the last coat of paint.

This will be done on a Saturday, and will likely provide you an opportunity to get a large portion of your hours in one day.

We would prefer individuals with some painting experience, however, if you are comfortable with a roller and a 3 inch brush you shouldn’t have any problems.

As always, these positions will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so if you have any interest in participating please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Work Hours Opportunities

Egg Shoot Workers Needed!

The Egg Shoot scheduled for April 26th and 27th is in need of workers to help make sure the match goes smoothly. We need 8-10 people each day, so there are plenty of positions to go around.
This is an excellent opportunity to get a large amount of your hours out of the way and enjoy yourself while doing it. WORKERS CAN SHOOT IN THE MATCH!
For more information please contact Jackie Lapradd at 540-797-3961 or complete the form on the Work Hours page.

New Work Hours Opportunities Added!

In an effort to make everyone aware of current work hours opportunities available we have created a  Work Hours Page.  When opportunities are available they will be listed on both the RRRC Home Page and the Work Hours page.  Currently the following opportunities are available:

Range Cleanup (Just added!)
As many of you may have noticed, our grounds are looking particularly clean and well maintained this year thanks to the help of a few dedicated members. We still need members who are interested in getting their hours by performing clean up duties. If you need to schedule your hours, and have a truck to haul the barrels to the dumpster, please consider stepping up and helping us out in this area.

Range Monitors Needed
We are seeking members who would be interested in monitoring the Members Only ranges during open matches to prevent non members from unauthorized use of our facilities. Duties include patrolling and monitoring the ranges not being utilized by the current match, and insuring that those using these ranges are members in good standing.

Please note, while we are not condoning, and will not tolerate ANY physical confrontation, you could find yourself faced with a non member who is verbally abusive. Due to this unfortunate possibility, applicants should be even tempered, feel comfortable in confronting possible trespassers, and have excellent communication skills.

For more information please contact Jackie Lapradd at 540-797-3961 or complete the form on the Work Hours page.
